Biramangol College wins MU football


IMPHAL, Oct 10: Biraman-gol College earned the champions title of the A Borchand Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Women’s Football Tournament after winning  Manipur University in a one-sided final at Chingamathak Hao Ground today.
N Chanchan's  five goals lead her team to a big win in the summit clash of the tournament. Chanchan scored the goals  in t 13th, 30th, 33rd, 41st and 48th minutes, international Y Kamala shared three of the goals (19th, 55th, 59th) to her team to win in a huge margin  and L Shantibala contributed one in the 26th minute .
The MU consolation goal was scored by N Jenny in the 45th minute.
Closing ceremony was graced by Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker I Hemochandra as chief guest, Manipur College Principal Dr Kh Jayanta-kumar Singh and CYLC, Chingamathak president L Achou Singh as the  president and guest of honour of the closing function respectively.
The three days long tournament was featured by five collegesManipur College hosted the tournament under the aegis of MU.
