Young Physique Union, Lalambung drubbed XI Star SU, Akampat 3-1 while KLASA, Keinou edged CYLC, Chingamathak 4-0 in qualifying round matches of the 55th CC Meet football tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
Young Physique took the lead in the 17th minute through Ch James. His goal could lead 1-0 in the first session of the match. Th Srivash added one more goal in in the 63rd and James scored third in the 79th minute to seal for winning the match.
XI Stars consolated goal was scored by Lalneidik in the 75th minute.
In another encounter , KLASA , Keinou could lead the match through S Homeshore’s 17th minute goal . Somananda (36th), L Jiten (54th) and K Newton (58th) scored one goal each and helped the team’s way to the next round of the qualifier of the mega event of football in the state.
