IMPHAL, Nov 28: An AFC ‘B’ certificate course for football coaches hosted by All Manipur Football Association began from today at Room No 19 of Khuman Lampak Hockey stadium.

In all 23 coaches from Manipur and other places of India are taking part at the certificate course being held under the supervision of AIFF’s Coaching Director Gabriel-e-Joseph as the chief instructor.

He will be assisted by Dr Ksh Birbal.

The course will continue upto December 18.




Haipi Youth Club win

KANGPOKPI, Nov 28: Kanggui Christian College topped Group A following a goalless draw against Team Willy while J Songtun YC emerged as Group-B winner after being awarded full points due to absence of Maohing Youth Club for today’s match in the 5th Mangboi Cup memorial football tournament at Brig M thomas ground, Kangpokpi.

At Keithelmanbi playground, Haipi Youth Club defeated Lungphou Youth Club 2-1 as Bongbal Kholen outplayed SGAYO 3-1.

The 2-1 victory for Haipi brightened it prospect of advancing to the knock-out stage of the tournament.

In matches played at LS Playground, Motbung, Raju Memorial Team and GLMT settled for a 1-1 draw.

At the same venue ETS Motbung carved out a comprehensive 2-0 win over United Gorkha XI.
