Manipur Police enter final in BN Mullick

Imphal, November 29: Manipur Police team and Assam Police team will clash for the football event title of the 60th BM Malik All India Police Meet at Assam Armed Police Training Centre ground in Dergao (Assam), tomorrow.

Manipur police team, who rallied to defeat Tamil Nadu police team 2-1 in the second semifinal today, will be playing in the summit clash after an absence of six years.

With the first half ending in a stalemate, Tamil Nadu police made the breakthrough in the 54th minute but the lead lasted for only four minutes as Ksh Kanta restored parity with his first of two in the match, the match-winner coming in the first half extra-time.

Manipur and Tamil Nadu police had played to a 2-2 draw in their group league round match.

Earlier, in the quarter final round Manipur Police blanked Karnataka 2-0 while in the Railways Protection force was handed a 3-1 defeat in the pre-quarter match.
