- Birth of Women Football Federation of India (WFFI) & took up women football in India
1976
- WFFI started organising tournaments in Manipur, women football was taken up by All Amanipur Sports Association.
- Manipur Women Football Association (MWFA) was founded.
- MWFA started organising women football competitions in manipur
1984
- FIFA decided that women football activities be controlled by national assns. affiliated to fifa.
- FIFA directed all confederations to do the needful immediately.
1985
- AFC directed all national assns in Asia to take up & control women football in its areas
1991
- AIFF after hectic & long efforts had taken up women football
- AMFA had also taken up women football
1992
- AIFF conducted 1st Sr. Women Nationals at Imphal, Manipur. Since then, regular tournaments have been conducting
2001
- AIFF introduces U-19 Girls’ Nationals (1st Championship held at Goa)
2003
- AIFF introduces U-17 Girls’ Nationals (1st Champ. held at in Ooty, Tamil Nadu)
