IMPHAL, Jan 7: ManipurPolice Sports Club reached the final of the N Bhubon Memorial DSA Trophy State Level Football Tournament 2012 after a big win over TRUGPU, Nambol by 5-0 margin at DSA ground, Kakching today.
The first semifnal saw the police side take the lead only two minutes into play through Ksh Kanta. Bipul (40th, 81st) and Nilakumar (50th, 62nd) scored the other goals of the police team.
In a quarter final match played yesterday, NISA Thangmeiband, state league title holder, thrashed Social Welfare Club (SWC), Keirak 5-1 to make the entry in the last four stage.
While Prabin scored the SWC consolation goal in the 41st minute, Bijen (27th, 64th, 79th, 88th) netted four of the NISA goals with Jimmy chipping in one in the 33rd minute.

Loktak Trophy from Today
IMPHAL, Jan 7: 5th edition of Lotak Trophy will begin at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Ground from tomorrow.
Seven teams will race for the trophy. State league champion NISA Thangmeiband clustered with AIM Khabam and TRAU Kwakeithel in Group (A). Manipur police grouped with NEROCA Sangakpham, TRUGPU Nambol and SSU Singjamei in group (A).
Loktak Power Station Manipur is sponsoring and All Moirang Football Association is organising the tournament under DSA Bishnupur. The tournament will open with the match between TRUGPU and Manipur Police tomorrow evening at 2.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Football Association annouced match official for the tournament. Match Commissioner of the tournament would be the state referee instructor Tejamani. L. Gokulanda, Th. Kiranjit, L. Yaima, S. Kennedy, L. Joykumar, S. Ibochatombi, L. Bhubon, and R. Edwin Chiru would be the referre, according to a release by the state association here today.
The release furthered, match officials were asked to report to organising secretary of the tournament before the opening match.
