Imphal, May 3: AMFA has shortlisted 30 players to attend the two-month residential football coaching programme at Khuman Lampak Artificial Turf Football Ground from May 5 onward.
The coaching programme is being held under the sponsorship of MDS.
The selected players are N Boreesh, M Dhananjoy Singh, P Bikram Singh, Th Devison, Gopi Singh (IWDFA); Ng Ronal, Y Ji-teshwor, Y Raj (IEDFA); Thangjagin, Janggoulen, Len-khopao (DSA, sadar Hills); N Sushilkumar, Th Sobha-mani, A Romio (DSA, Kak); S Prikanta, M Lamjingba, K Omesh, N Sachikanta (DFA, Tbl); H Prabhakar, N Ra-mesh, S Babul, A Romex (DSA, Bpr); Shomi Rongui, Ningrong, Yungrei, Wung-ramchon (DSA, Ukl); John, Pauchungnung Vincent, Jedi-di Haokip, Lalmingmawia (DSA, Ccpur).
The football coaching programme will be conducted by English coach Stephen David Darby who is well known throughout Asia as a pundit for ESPN Star Sports and is an English FA Full ‘A’ Licence coach. He was the chief coach of Kolkata giant Mohun Bagan in 2011 season.
The players are informed to report at Sports Hostel No. 2, Khuman Lampak on May 5 at 9 am.
