Imphal : YPhU, Lalambung and KIYC, Kshetri iril Mapal sealed their berths in the finals of the 55th Sir Chu-rachand Singh Memorial football tournament, popularly known as CC Meet.

 Matches of group 'A' and 'B' of  the qualifying round played today at Mapal kangjeibung, YPhU  defeated Muvanlai Athletic Club, Sadar Hills by 3-2 score margin as KIYC downed KLASA, Keinou by a solitary goal scored in the 55th minute by Md Nawaz Khan from a Kh Priyojit's cross.

In the keen contest between YPhU and Muvanlai, A Shankar Singh opened the score for the Young Physique in the 34th minute which could lead in first session of the match.  Ch James  added one  more goal in the 54th minute. 

Sehminthang scored the Muvanlai goals in the 78th and 88th minutes and levelled the match  at 2-2. In the dying minute , James netted his second goal which made his team to set for finals of the CC Meet.

YPhU defeated XI Star SU, Akampat 3-1 in its opening match while KIYC was awarded the match against LSC, churachandpur as the latter was scratched mid-way into the competition.
