KANGPOKPI, Nov 30: Tujang Area Youth Association (TAYA) crushed Veteran Team, Sadar Hills 6-1 to storm into the quarter finals of the 4th Mangboi Memorial Cup football tournament being held at Brigadier M Thomas Ground.
Ginneo netted five of the Tujang goals while Paominlen contributed one, as Tongmang scored the consolation goal for the Veteran team.
In the other second round knock-out match played at the same venue, J Songtun YC outplayed ETS, Motbung 6-1 with Hahao hogging the match limelight with his six-goal spree.
The ETS face-saver was scored by Paolenlal.
At LS Playground Motbung, where two other second round matches were played, FC Concord overcame Raju Memorial Team by a solitary goal while Haipi Youth Club blanked Luwangsangol Youth Club 2-0.
Tomorrow’s matches will feature TMT Songjang and Koubru Soccer, and kanggui Christian College versus GLMT at Kangpokpi while at Motbung MYC-A will meet FC Golngai while Bongbal XI will clash against HMT, J Songtun.
