NEW DELHI: Bangalore’s KGF Academy striker Emmanuel Okoro scored record seven goals to beat Mizoram’s Luangmual FC 7-1, in the 2nd Division I League match played at the Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi on Sunday.
All the goals were scored by KGF’S foreign recruit Okoro in 8th, 23rd, 26th, 43rd, 45+, 47th and 67th minutes. While the solitary goal for Mizo side was scored by H Lalthangliana in 10th minute.
The inconsequential match played between the two sides was completely dominated by the Bangalore side, who seemed to have come out some resolution. While Luangmual who have performed better earlier, looked totally out of sorts or disinterested, as they lacked in all the departments.
The first goal came as soon as 8th minute through Okore, though Mizo side came back from behind just two minutes later to restore parity. Then Okoro made a melee of goals in 23rd, 26th, 43rd and 45+ minutes. The half ended with KGF leading Luangmual by 5-1.
Changing over, the story remained same, Luangmual seemed disoriented after first half setbacks and have lost all the hopes to make comeback in the match.
Okoro made a 2nd Division record of scoring seven goal in a match when he struck twice again in the second half in 47th and 67th minutes.
With this win KGF Academy have now have 7 points from 7 matches while Luangmual stays at 5 points from seven outings.
Simla youngs hold Golden Threads 1-1
NEW DELHI: In an another match, Simla Youngs came from behind to hold Kerala’s Golden Threads 1-1, in the 2nd division I League match played at the Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi on Sunday.
Both the goals by either of the team were scored off Penalty. First it was Golden’s Prince Monday in 53rd minute and then Badru Keke restored parity for the Local side five minutes later.
Both the teams now have seven points from seven outings.

2) Arhima FC beat Southern Samity SC (4-2)
