Mumbai, April 23: The FIFA Grassroots Course successfully concluded at the Cooperage Ground in Mumbai.
The Course ended with a festival in which more than 120 kids between 6-12 years participated. The festival was conducted for nearly 2 hours and included small sided games and technical drills for the kids.The 5-day Course had participants from across Maharashtra.
The participants were given FIFA participation certificates at the end of the course by Honorary Secretary of The Western India Football Association, Mr. Souter Vaz.
Mr. Vaz thanked FIFA and AIFF for conducting the course in Mumbai for participants from Maharashtra and assured all support from WIFA to implement the Grassroots program in the State.
Such was the success of the Course that this for the first time the Grassroots programme was covered by a prestigious sports channel in primetime news.
