Imphal, August 2: Imphal West District Football Association (IWDFA) dominated Imphal East District Football Association (IEDFA) 2-1 in Thursday's match of the 13th Junior Girls Inter District Football Tournament being organised by All Manipur Football Association at Khuman Lampak Artificial Turf ground.

However, Imphal East won the triple leg league tournament. After a draw in the first leg match, both teams could manage to win a match each. In the second leg, Imphal East defeated West by 3-1 goal margin. In Thursday's last leg match, Imphal West needed to beat Imphal East against three goals margin to win the tournament, but the team failed to make their target.    

IEDFA led the goal tally with a goal from its player S Ranjana in the 13th minute. However, Y Hemolata of IWDFA broke the deadlock with a goal in the 32nd minute. The goal kicked by A Tombi (59th) of IWDFA sealed the fate of the team.

S Ranjana of IEDFA and W Ranjibala of IWDFA were cautioned by the match referee for their misconduct.
