Imphal, August 5: NACO Nambul Mapal has emerged the winner of the 14th S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League. The tournament was organised by the Imphal West District Football Association, and was held at SKYC Sekmai Ground.

In Sunday’s match, DMRAO Sekmai defeated THAU Thangmeiband 1-0.

LK Thangngam scored the golden goal of the match. However, for the entire tournament, NACO has emerged the winner as it scored the highest points by scoring 16 points. A total of seven teams participated in the tournament.

THAU Thangmeiband relegated to first division after they lost all the matches of the league. Sagolband United was scratched as they failed to turn up in the field for their fourth match.
