Big win helps SSU to meet NISA in summit clash

IMPHAL, November 5: After beating TRUGPU by 6-0 goals in the match played on Monday atKhuman Lampak Main Stadium, the defending champion of last year SSU Singjamei entered the final to meet NISA in the final of the 8th Manipur State League Championship on November 7 at the Artificial Turf ground of Khuman Lampak sports complex.

The championship is being organized by All Manipur Football Association.

A heading from T. Raju of SSU opened the score account for his team in the 20th minute of the match. The scoring spree was followed by Md. Riyas Khan in the 37th minute. Minutes later, team mate L. Gogocha added another 1 goal. Again, in the 57th minute of the match, L. Dewan fetched another goal.

L. Gogocha of SSU scored one more goal in penalty kick in the 60th minute of the match following a fault committed by goal keeper K. Anand Sagar of TRUGPU.

In the first minute of extra added time, Gogocha again added another goal for his team, thus, ensuring as big win for SSU.
