UBSA, Mantak and KYVO, Bishnupur registered identical 2-1 victories over their respective opponents on the second day of the 55th Sir Churachand Singh Memorial Football Tournament , popularly known as CC , at Mapal Kangjeibung today.

UBSA overcame former champion ESU, Wangkhei . Minthang 's early goal managed to lead the match by ESU.  HT Ritha Anal levelled the score in the 34th minute .  Ritha Anal's second goal in 89th minute was the decisive goal for UBSA's victory. 

In another encounter,  KYVO’s defeated JSYCSadar Hills, champion of this season's Winners' Cup. Lelneo opened the score for the latter only five minutes into play to make 1-0 lead by JSYC. KYVO's K Paolin equalised the goal in 10th minute.  Paolin scored the decisive goal in 60th minute to win the match.

U-13 Girls Football Festival begins

5th U-13 Girls Inter-District Football  Festivals began today at Mapal Kangjeibung Stadium.  Four District Associations' teams are participating in the festivals. In the opening day, Imphal East, West and Kakching registered their wins.

Imphal East outclassed DSA Kakching by 5-1 margin. Ranjana and Kashim A Shahani scored two goal each for the team. Sultana added one in 25th minute.  DSA Kakching's lone scored was netted by Daya in 14th minute.

In another match, Imphal West defeated Bishnupur 5-1 in their opening game . Kh. Sonia scored three goals for Imphal West. Ranjita added two more goals. Tanda consolidated for Bpr's side.

After losing in the first game, DSA Kakching could manage to overcome Bishnupur in their second encounter of the festival. Daya's four goals in the match helped Kakching to win the match.
