IMPHAL, Nov 13: SSU, Singjamei  sailed into the  16 round of sixteen  in the 55th CC Meet football tournament with a 4-1 thrashing of KIYC, Kshetri Iril Mapal at Mapal Kangjeibung today.

Inspite of the Singjamei side dominating the second round match, KIYC took the lead when Boipu converted a penalty award in the 13th minute.

The centre refree I Rabichandra pointed his hands towards penalty spot after SSU custodian Ksh Naoba infringed on rival striker Md Nawaz Khan, who moved in swiftly to pounce on a loose ball inside the area.

The lead lasted till the 34th minute as SSU restored parity through Kh Prasanta from a Shanta cross  from the right flank while the provider netted the second team goal four minutes later.

Nine minutes after the break, Kh Naoba doubled the advantage and team's star striker Sahidur Rahman ensured the easy win netting the fourth in the 56th minute.
