IMPHAL, Jan 10: Dibong Gram Panchayat Veteran Football Club and Sorok Atingbi Veteran Football Club will clash for the title of 5th Makholal Roy Memorial Veteran Football Tournament at Jiribam Higher Secondary School ground on January 13 at 2 pm.
In a keenly contested second semifinal match played today, the Dibong veterans overcame South Barak Veteran Team, Cachar 4-3 with Suresh netting a hattrick.
While Rajen Rongmei (18th) and Joykumar (33rd, 52nd) scored for South Barak, goals in the 6th, 22nd and 26th minutes by Suresh and Babulal’s 28th minute strike helped Dibong set up the summit clash against Sorok Atingbi Veteran Football Club.
