IMPHAL, Jan 8: State League champions NISA Thangmeiband stormed into the final of the N Bhubon Memorial DSA Trophy State Level Football Tournament 2012 after defeating SAO Kakching3-1 t DSA ground, Kakching today.
The 2nd semifnal saw the NISA's side take the lead only two minutes into play through Somorendro. N. Jimmy and former India M. Bijen scored a goal each to manage 3-0 lead in the break. Jimmy scored his goal in 15th minute of the match and Bijen added his goal in 42nd minute.

In the second session, SAO Kaching made a great effort to reduced the margin. In the early minutes of the session, Samananda reduced the margin 1-3. SAO continued their campaign to level the scoreline. In late, Robinson scored their second goal in the 83rd minute, but their efforts was useless as they could not level the margin till the end of the match.
NISA will meet Manipur Police in the summit clash of the tournament on Tuesday.
Loktak Trophy begins
IMPHAL, Jan 7: 5th edition of Lotak Trophy began at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Ground from today.
Seven teams are on the line for the trophy. State league champion NISA Thangmeiband clustered with AIM Khabam and TRAU Kwakeithel in Group (A). Manipur police grouped with NEROCA Sangakpham, TRUGPU Nambol and SSU Singjamei in group (A).
Loktak Power Station Manipur is sponsoring and All Moirang Football Association is organising the tournament under DSA Bishnupur. In the opening match, Manipur Police Sports Club drew TRUGPU by 0-0.
