Imphal, January31: 28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 9 Sect Assam Rifles and IGAR(S) is organising “Play Together for Manipur Football Tournament” from 01 to 05 Feb 12 at Lilong post. Manipur has always been on the fore from of sports in the country. Assam Rifles has always made an endeavour to encourage young and budding talent from the State. In pursuance of this noble cause, 28 Assam Rifles has organised this ‘Play together for Manipur Football Tournament’ with an aim to provide the young players a platform to show case their skill.
The matches will be conducted over a period of five days at the Lilong COB of 28 Assam Rifles. Eight teams from local clubs including a team of 28 Assam Rifles will participate. The tournament is being organised to promote football in Manipur, Imphal and hunt for budding young talent. In addition to cash prizes for the winners & runners up, there are many attractive prizes for the best player, best goal keeper and some sports items for the winning team also.
