U-13 girls prove too strong for Sri Lanka

India’s U-13 girls maintained their winning momentum in the AFC U-13 Girls Football Fest when they blanked hosts Sri Lanka 7-0 at the Police Ground in Bambalapitiya, Colombo.

The match was played in two halves of 25 minutes each. Captain Kashmina scored a hat-trick while Daya Devi, Lifa Gama, Suman and Soni Kumari scored one apiece. This is India’s third successive victory in the tournament after having beaten Jordan 7-1 and Palestine 9-0 in their earlier two matches.

Head Coach Priya complimented the girls for their performance. “They have been consistent and disciplined at the same time,” she maintained.
