New Delhi: The U-22 National Trials for the AFC U-22 Asian Cup (Qualifiers) kicked-off at the Pailan World School in Kolkata on Saturday (March 3). The trials would go on till March 8. A total of 62 boys have been called for the trials.
On the first day, the boys were divided into 3 teams and played matches of 30-minutes duration against each other. All India Football Federation Technical Director Rob Baan and Head Coach Youth Development Colm Joseph, both of whom are at Pailan for selection, kept a close watch.
“It was the first day of the trials and it was promising enough,” Baan told www.the-aiff.com.
Besides the duo, Pailan Arrows’ Coach Sujit Chakborty, Narayana Menon and Goalkeeping Coach Tanumoy Basu also supervised the trials.
