KOLKATA: A brace by Prakash Thorat help Air India beat Pailan Arrows 2-0 in the 25th round I League encounter at the Yuba Bharati Krinangan on Saturday. Prakash scored both goals for the winners in the 44th and 67th minute of the match.
The win takes Air India to 32 points from 25 matches while Pailan Arrows stays on 9 points
from 22 matches.
Prakash scored his first goal when he tapped in a cross from the right side just a minute before the half time. No team really dominated the first half but Air India went into the break 1-0 up.
In the second half Prakash scored another goal in the 67th minute as Air India put the result beyond doubt. Both teams made several attempts after the second goal but the match stayed at 2-0.
