Imphal, Aug. 12: Chajing Inat Kanba Lup held Wangoi Football Association to a 2-2 draw in the Imphal West First Division Football League at Thangmeiband Athletic Union ground today.
The Chajing team opened its account in the 17th minute with Kh. Khaba Singh netting home the opening goal.
The equaliser came for Wangoi just before the first half through M. Bimolchand Singh.
W. Robinson Singh netted the second goal for Wangoi in the 57th minute to post a 2-1 lead.
With time running out, the saviour for Chajing was L. Sanjen Singh who fetched his team’s second goal, to split a point.
In the Imphal West Super Division tournament, Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation held Young Physique Union to a goalless draw.
Imphal East Football: Citizen Club blanked Progressive Youth Association 2-0 in the Imphal East First Division Football League at Khuman Lampak sports complex.
Ch. Kishan Singh gave the early lead for Citizen Club in the 10th minute and S. Krishan Singh consolidated with his team’s second goal in the 21st minute for the easy victory.
North Eastern Sporting Union blasted Takhel Youth Welfare Organisation by 3-1 goals in another match of the day.
