IMPHAL, August 27: WAFA, Wangoi defeated PHLYO, Thangmeiband by 2-1 while BMSC, Taobungkhok drew with KRYPSA, Naoremthong in today’s matches of the ongoing Imphal West 1st Division Football League at THAU ground.

The scorers for WAFA are Th Premchandra (52nd) and Edwin Soibam (80+1) while PHLYO’s goal was scored in the 70th minute by Y Gopi.

The second match between BMSC and KRYPSA ended in a goalless draw.

UPSA registers massive win
 UPSA, Pukhao defeated TYWO, Takhel by 7-1 taking the winner to the second position of the Imphal East 1st division football league today at the Khuman Lampak Football practice ground.

In another match of the day, PYA, Kairang defeated RAU, Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai by 5-0.

The UPSA scorers are N Raju (26th, 30th, 53rd and 80th), Itocha (14th), Ramchandra (60th) and Bikramjit (66th), while the TYWO’s lone goal was scored in the 24th minute by Sanajaoba.

In the second match, Mosif (7th, 21st), Johnson (16th), Aulad (26th) and Rajchouhan (68th) scored for PYA.

UPAA, Kyamgei is at the top of the points table while CC, Soibam leikai is in the third position with one match remaining.
