U-19 Indian women beat Bangladesh in AFC Championship

New Delhi: The Indian Women's U-19 squad were off to a winning start in the AFC U-19 Women's Championship (Qualifiers) being played in Melaka, Malaysia when they defeated Bangladesh 1-0 in their opening match. Nikhila Thumbayil scored the winner in the 76th minute.

India dominated the proceedings from the kick-off and could have won by a bigger margin but staued unlucky. India next play Uzbekistan on October 24.
