IMPHAL, Nov 9: Imphal West DFA and Imphal East DFA were respectively declared as the winners of under-12 and under-13 Fair Play Trophy of the 8th A Borchand Singh Memorial Boys Inter District Football Festival, that concluded today at Khuman Lampak Practice Ground.

In under-12 category, Imphal West culled 20 points to claim the honour as All Jiribam Sports Association and District sports Association, Kakching jointly bagged the runners-up title at 15 points apiece.

For under-13 competition, Imphal East DFA collected a competition tally of 35 points to wrest the honour followed by DSA, Kakching in second place at 30 points.

Apart from winning matches, points are awarded to the teams based on their performance, discipline and sportsmanship displayed during the tournament organised by All Manipur Football Association.

On the otherhand, points are deducted from teams that commit fouls or display lack of sporting spirit.
