IMPHAL, Nov 9: ESU, Wangkhei carved out a convincing 3-1 victory over NYThC, Okram Chuthek in the first match of the Tarunkumar Khuraijam Memorial Senior Women's Imphal West football league tournament at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium today.

While Th Umapati opened the ESU score with a 12th minute strike, M Mandakini doubled the advantage in the 47th minute before rounding off the comprehensive win in the 76th. Kh Ngoubi pulled back one for the Okram Chuthek side in the 56th minute.

The second match of the three match league between the two sides will be played on November 11.
