Joaquim Abranches brought Dempo back in the game in the 19th minute when his stunning freekick from almost 30 yards out zoomed into the goal, leaving everyone, including Pune FC goalkeeper Abhra Mondal, stunned.
The second session saw the visitors turn the tables on their rivals with an attacking display that left Dempo shattered.

Dempo threw in Nigerian striker Koko Sakibo but it were Pune FC who were scoring all the goals.
Pune FC made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute when Izumi Arata was at the right end of Moga’s header to slam the ball past Subhashish while substitute striker Jeje Lalpekhlua capitalized on a defensive lapse to inflict more misery on the hosts and defending champions.
There was more towards the end as Douhou Pierre helped himself to a goal after Moga had picked him up beautifully just inside the danger zone.
This was Pune FC’s third consecutive victory at Fatorda, the first time they have been able to achieve such a result.
