IMPHAL, Apr 18: FLAM, Imphal outlasted IMVA, Hei-ngang 3-2 as FC, Imphal edged past FVWA-A by the odd goal in three in group round matches of the 15th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
S somorendro netted a brace (21st, 28th) and S Kula chipped in one in the 53rd minute in FLAM's victory over the Heingang veterans, for whom S Dinachandra (46th) and Y Muhindro (50th) were the goal getters.
In the FC versus FVWA-A match, S Gandhi scored the opening goal for the latter while the eventual victors rallied through Th Krishna (40th) and S Rohen (53rd).
