IMPHAL, Jun 2: Riding on N Mahesh' brilliant hattrick TBSFA, Taobungkhok trounc-ed RKC, Khoyathong 6-0 to wrest the title of the 29th State Level Mini Boys Football Tournament at THAU Sports Complex, Thangmeiband today. While Mahesh ruffled the rivals' net in the 18th, 25th and 41st minutes, one each from Rinesh (27th), Sh Netrajit (38th) and Anao Golmei (43rd) completed the rout in the summit clash.
As chief guest of the closing ceremony, Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan Singh handed over the rolling trophy and Rs 10,000 to the champions as RKC had to content with half the amount.
Taobungkhok's N Joysa-na, L Jackson of RKC and Star Club, Moirangkampu were respectively adjudged as the best player, player of the tournament and best discipline team.
The prize distribution programme was also attended by president of tournament host - THAU - Kh Bira Meitei as the functional president with Asian Football Confederation instructor S Ekendra and (Retd) Bank manager Th Girani Singh gracing the event as the guests of honour.
