NEW DELHI, August 16: In a bid to provide service to the Society and also to spread Education through football I-League Champions Churchill Brothers SC has decided to tie up with El Shaddai Goa, a charitable trust working for the betterment of underprivileged children and orphans, a statement from the Club has informed.
The El Shaddai Charitable Trust is a registered, non-profit Charity working in Goa and other States in India, implementing the Child Rights Act 2003/05 for orphans, street children and children coming from economically desperate conditions; cared and provided with food, clothing, shelter and education, for a better future.
A group of Churchill Brothers footballers along with club CEO Ms ValankaAlemao and General Manager Mr. Frazer Alemao, paid a visit to the El Shaddai Centre at Margao and spent time with the children.
The footballers interacted with the kids and also played some fun Football related games with them.
Ms.ValankaAlemao while giving away prizes to the winners of various events said, “Our plan for the tie up is to send our coaches and players to train the children on a fortnightly basis to various El Shaddai centres.”
“And once they get the grip of the game we can provide them advance training and the talented one’s can be absorbed into the Churchill Brothers Youth Programme and hopefully don the Senior Team jersey in the near future,” she added.
The players at the event were Hugo Machado, Daniel Amoreirinha, Bikramjit Singh, Amritpal Singh and Hasten D’Costa.
