Imphal, Sept 19: AIM, Khabam defeated KSC, Churachandpur by 4-2 goals in today’s first match of the ongoing 8th Manipur State League at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium here.
K Rockey of AIM (1st and 42nd minute) scored two goals for his team, while Ch Kishan and Th Vandana contributed one goal each in the 60th and 77th minute of the play respectively.
Thanaskhup Vaiphei of KSC scored two goals of his team in the 21st and 38th minute of the play.
In the second match, NEROCA, Sangakpam beat ZFC, Churachandpur by 4-1 goals. L Ibungobi (11th minute); Chakraborti (39th and 88th minute) and Sanjay (61st minute) scored the goals of the winning team.
The lone goal of the other team was kicked by Haosanpau in the 27th minute.
From tomorrow, matches of the league would be played at Mapan Kangjeibung. NISA, Thangmeiband would take on TRAUPU, Nambol Friday at 2PM.
