IMPHAL, September 24: NISA Thangmeiband beat NEROCA Sangakpham by 4-1 goals in the match of the ongoing 8th Manipur State League Championship played at Mapal Kangjeibung here today. , organized by All Manipur Football Association.
Players of both the teams tried hard to dominate each other during the entire play, but NISA emerged the better of the two. NEROCA, which had not lost a single match in the ongoing tournament, had to bit the dust due to weak defending line.
NISA opened its first account in the 3rd minute of the play with a goal kicked into the net of the opponent team by L Sanatomba. Sanatomba scored two more goals in the 39th and 56th minute of the match, thus, becoming the first player of the League to maintain a hattrick. The fourth winning goal of NISA was kicked by ZV Haokok in the 10th minute of the play.
The single solitary goal of NEROCA was scored by L. Gouro in the 15th minute of the play.
Southern Sporting Union (SSU) Singjamei and AIM Khabam would play tomorrow at 12:30 pm in the first match and TRAU, Kwakeithel and ZFC, Chunrachandpur would clash in the second ground at 2:30 pm.
