IMPHAL, October 18: TRAU Kwakeithel subdued USA Khurai by 2-1 goals today in the first match of the ongoing 8th Manipur State League being held at Khuman Lampak, Main Stadium under the auspices of All Manipur Football Association.

N. Dhananjoy Singh of TRAU opened the account for his team by scoring a goal in the 24th minute of the match. A few minutes later, Dhananjoy again added another goal to take his team to the path of victory in the 62nd minute of the match.

The lone goal of USA was scored in the 38th minute of the match by its player Ch. Risk Meitei.
In the second ground, NEROCA Sangakpham beat rival team SSU Singjamei by 3-1 goals.

NEROCA’s player L. Gouro scored 1 goal in the 2nd minute of the match, and it was later followed by team mate M. Deepak in the 15th minute. Naorem Sushil also added another one winning goal for his team NEROCA in the 77th minute of the match.

Md. Sahidur Rahaman turned out to be the only player who could score for SSU team in the 65th minute of the match.
