SAI Kolkata wins the title

SAI Eastern Centre Kolkata  won the title of the SAI All India Inter Regional Under-17 Football tournament after defeating host team SAI NERC Imphal by a solitary goal in the summit clash today.  

Pradip Mandi of SAI Kolkata scored the match winning goal in the 42nd minute of the match.
 SAI Imphal’s Bidyananda bagged the man of the tournament award.   Pradip Mandi who scored 6 goals in the tournament, was awarded the top scorer's prize.   L Basumatary of SAI Guwahati and his team-mate Enester Malngiang emerged the best goalkeeper and the best player respectively.

  The winning team SAI Kolkata will play this year's  U-17  All India Subroto Mukherjee as SAI team.
Under-14 team of SAI NERC, Imphal lifted  the title of the All India SAI inter Regional football tournament.In the under-14 final played today at Kokrajhar, Assam,  SAI Imphal defeated  Guwahati SAI in penalty shootout  after a 2-2 draw in the final match of the competition.  In the penalty shootout SAI Imphal overcame Guwahati team by 6-4.

 Awang scored both the goals in regulation time. In the penalty shoot-out, Awang Gaiselung, Donadini and Suran scored their spot kicks to lift  the champions trophy.Donadini was adjudged the tournament’s best player,  Awang top scorer of the meet. SAI Imphal will represent for all India SAI in the U-14 Subroto Football which is expected to schedule  in December.
