Shillong Lajong FC tie up with Danish Club FCV Vikings

Thursday, March 1, 2012: I-League side Shillong Lajong FC has tied up with Danish first division side FCV Vikings. Anglian Holdings, a Multi-National company which invests in various fields including real estate, luxury retirement homes, leisure resorts, sports, business incubation and many more has made it possible for the two clubs to shake hands. Anglian Holdings, will buy 25% stake of Shillong Lajong. The company has also invested in the Danish first division club FCV Vikings(popularly called FC Vestsjælland) which plays Danish First Division(2nd Tier).

The investment in both clubs by Anglian Holdings will help Indian players to train and present their talent in different parts of the globe. The company seems very optimistic that the tie-up will be a big boost for both clubs and also for the budding footballers in India. Shillong Lajong, the only team from North East, is one of the most professionally run clubs in India and this patch up will eventually help the club grow bigger.
