KOLKATA: McDowells Mohun Bagan will take on Pune FC in their last encounter at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday (April 6). While Pune FC stay on 46 points from 25 matches, Mohun Bagan are on 44 points from 25 matches.
The match would be the last one for Jose Ramirez Barreto in the Green and Maroon jersey and emotions are running high.
Subrata Bhattacharya, Mohun Bagan’s Technical Director said: “I am very honoured that Barreto played his first match for the club under me and will also be playing his last match for Bagan under me. I have told all the players to give their best. A win will be the befitting tribute for him.”
While Pune FC will be eager to win McDowells Mohun Bagan will be treating this match more as a testimonial for Jose Barretos 10 year career with them and would want to win the match for him.
The kick-off is at 3.30pm and would be telecast live on Ten Action+ and NTB. (AIFF)
