Manipur Santosh Trophy team beats MPSC in practice match

Imphal : Manipur Team for the 66th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2012 today beat Manipur Polic Sports Club (MPSC) 3-2 in a practice match played at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal.
With the championships slated to kicked off from May 11 in Odhisa, Manipur team is busy practising for the championships with high hopes of winning the trophy.
In the keenly contested practice match today, Kh Naoton, Th Vandona and Thoi scored the three goals of Manipur team whle the two goals of MPSC were scored by I Nilakumar and Somochandra.
Manipur team coach Kh Surmani told Hueiyen Lanpao that he is dedicating his times in giving proper training to the state team with the hope of winning the trophy.
With much improvement lately, he expressed his hopes of his players displaying their best performances in the championships.
The state team will leave Imphal for Odhisa on May 14.They will participate in the championships from the Quarter Final stage.
Manipur is grouped with Goa and winners of Cluster IV and V in Group B.Out of the 20 players in the state team eight are players playing in local clubs while 12 in other clubs outside Manipur.
