IMPHAL, August 9: PYC, Phoudel defeated KRC, Kshetri leikai by 2-1 in the opening match of the Thoubal second division league tournament at the KRC ground today.

The opening day saw only one match from the group A which was won by PYC with a goal from Md Amirkhan in the 31st and Md Sakir in the 35th minute.

Scientist scored the lone goal for KRC just 6 minute after the start of play.

HIDA, Lilong will meet SWYC, Charangpat while HISU, Thoubal will meet CSWC, Chandrakhong in the group B tomorrow.
