Imphal, September 23: Zomi Football Club (ZFC), Churachandpur and Tiddim Road Unique Gamy Players’ Union (TRUGPU) won today’s matches at the 8th Manipur State League organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
The first match was played between ZFC, CCpur and Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) in which ZFC defeated MPSC 3-1 and won the match. Hellun Haokip of ZFC scored two goals in the 68th and 77th minutes of the match respectively, while the third goal of ZFC was scored by T Kamkhuallian in the 79th minute. On the other hand, the lone goal of MPSC was scored by Henry Chawang in the 71st minute of the match.
The second match which was played between TRUGPU, Nambol and Kuki Sporting Club (KSC), Lambulane was a tough fight between the two teams. Both teams played the match with firm determination to win. However, TRUGPU emerged winner of the match after defeating KSC with a solitary goal. The solitary goal of TRUGPU was scored by Anthony Kabui in the 45th minute of the match.
