NEW DELHI, September 15: All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Elite Academy comprising of the U-19 National Team cruised to a 6-0 win against Vasco Sports Club in a Friendly Match at the Chowgule Sports and Fitness Ground.
The half dozen goals were divided equally in each half as the U-19 Boys scripted yet another impressive win after edging Salgaocar 2-1 in their previous outing.
While Germanpreet Singh (21st), KumamUdanta Singh (24th) and Daniel Lalhlimpuia (28th) found the back of the net in the first half, Sumit Ghosh (82nd, 84th) notched a double with Alan Deory scoring another (71st) post the breather.
These Colts under Head Coach Colm Joseph Toal had previously blanked the Chinese U-17 National Team 6-0 and 4-0 respectively in an Exposure Trip ahead of the U-19 AFC Qualifiers to be held in Doha in month of October.
The nucleus of the Squad had represented India in the Final Phase of the U-16 AFC Qualifiers in 2011 in Tehran where they had drawn 2-2 with the then U-16 Chinese National Team.
